Walk and Talk Series
Moving Together for Change
Our events are the heartbeat of Campus to Campus. We believe that by bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals, we can amplify the dialogue surrounding mental health and drive real action. Our goal is to research and explore what support truly means, co-creating a "village" of community support for our young people as they transition from education into their careers.
Our Signature Formats

Campus Walks
Our campus walks bring corporate professionals, educators, mental health experts and students together in informal, outdoor settings to promote connection and stigma-free dialogue. The side-by-side nature of walking encourages open conversation about sensitive mental health topics and we see radical results from this relaxed approach. This intergenerational support helps normalise wellbeing conversations and directly combats student isolation.
Concept: A two-hour immersive experience that removes the pressure of face-to-face intensity through "shoulder-to-shoulder" movement.
Participants: A diverse group of 30–50 people, including students, mental health professionals, early careers teams, university staff, and the Campus to Campus (C2C) team.
Duration: Typically 2 hours (morning/afternon), covering a maximum distance of 5 km.
Location: Routes are designed in nature, often starting directly on campus or navigating local landmarks (such as canals or parklands) to ensure accessibility and safety.
Collaborative Planning: We work closely with University Students’ Unions (SU) to drive engagement, advertise to staff, and finalise a route.
The Experience:
-
Opening Thoughts: The event begins with a welcome from the C2C team and optional remarks from university leadership to set a tone of openness and safety.
-
Active Dialogue: Join us in conversation as we walk together to explore what students need to support their mental health as they navigate higher education.
-
Shared Stories: Participants walk side-by-side, sharing lived experiences and professional anxieties in a stigma-free setting.

The Format: This event follows the "Campus Walk" setup with adding structured speaking sessions before the walk.
Registration & Arrival: Participants gather for refreshments (tea, coffee, and water), allowing for initial low-pressure networking.
Transformational Talks: We invite lived-experience speakers, mental health experts, and senior leaders to deliver keynote addresses that spark vulnerability and provide actionable insights into the student mental health crisis.
